Tribute Eatery & Bar is expanding to Ankeny, IA, with an anticipated opening in August! We’re looking for full-time and part-time Hosts & Food Runners to join our growing team!

Tribute Eatery & Bar is a vibrant, full-service restaurant and bar proudly established in Coralville, Iowa. Known for mouthwatering food and a unique twist on beloved American classics, Tribute pairs crave-worthy comfort food with craft cocktails, curated wines, and local beers. With its energetic atmosphere and welcoming team, Tribute has quickly become a local favorite—and now, we’re bringing that same charm and flavor to our second location in Ankeny, Iowa.

Starting Pay for fully trained Hosts/Food Runners: $8.10 per hour + tips, tipped out nightly.

Schedule: Full or part-time. Shifts are anywhere from 4-8 hours depending on your availability.

Full-time Benefits: Available for all full-time employees who work on average 30 hours per week or more.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome Guests warmly and enthusiastically, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Assist Guests by seating them promptly and providing menus with a smile.
  • Accurately calculate wait times and communicate them to walk-in Guests.
  • Create and manage a waitlist, ensuring fair seating for all parties and minimizing wait times.
  • Ensure smooth transitions between seating and service to maintain efficient operations.
  • Communicate effectively with management, service staff, kitchen staff, and bussing staff to ensure the restaurant operates smoothly.
  • Assist with phone inquiries, reservations, and to-go orders professionally and efficiently.
  • Relay accurate wait times and seating plans to Guests and service staff.
  • Reset tables quickly and efficiently to maximize seating capacity.
  • Plan seating arrangements to optimize space and flow of the restaurant.
  • Regularly check restroom cleanliness and attend to Guest needs in these areas.
  • Assist in opening duties and ensure a polished, professional environment is maintained.
  • Assist the service team by delivering food to Guests promptly and ensuring the presentation is in line with our high standards.
  • Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate orders and timely delivery.
  • Support team members in any tasks required to maintain efficient restaurant operations.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Friendly, enthusiastic demeanor with a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere for Guests.
  • Willingness to collaborate with the team and contribute to the overall Guest experience.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
